The American Red Cross is responding to the disaster in Haiti and working with our partners The Haiti Red Cross, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.  At this time the American Red Cross has:

• Released $200,000 for immediate response action
• Making relief supplies available from our warehouse in Panama (enough for 5,000 families)
• Sending Disaster Specialists immediately to support relief efforts
• Monitoring the situation for further support.

The US State Department has established the following number for US citizens wishing to locate family members in Haiti 1-888-407-4747.

Monetary donations are needed to support the massive relief operation in Haiti.  Please consider making a donation to the American Red Cross International Response Fund which will provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need. The American Red Cross honors donor intent.

• Make an online donation at www.redcross.org . 
• TEXT a donation through Mobil Accord, text HAITI to 90999 and a $10 donation will be made to Red Cross to help this relief operation.

The American Red Cross is not accepting volunteers to travel to Haiti.
